For over 10 years my clients have included both those new to strength training, who are interested in learning proper movements and techniques, and more experienced athletes looking for practical insights on form, movement patterns, pain relief and injury prevention. We work collaboratively to develop the program that best corresponds with their long-term goals, creating a strong foundation in functional movement that will translate into other activities. I utilize traditional weight, stretching, dynamic movement and body weight training as well as mobilization and breathing techniques to create a balanced, adaptive program.
I have demonstrated success alleviating chronic pain and complex physical conditions, regardless of age, current fitness level, or history. I use postural and movement assessment to identify patterns, strengths and weaknesses and then apply that information to educate and empower my clients to more safely achieve their fitness goals.
I have over 1600 hours of formal training and more than 6 years of professional experience in Massage and Bodywork, with techniques including: Myofascial Release, Tripper Point, Joint Manipulation, Deep Tissue, Meridian Clearing, Cranial Sacral, and Circulation and Relaxation.
I have a BA in Movement Therapy (Naropa University), am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), Corrective Exercise Specialist, Yoga Instructor (Sivananada Vedanta International), Certified Qi Gong Instructor, FMS (Level 1 and 2), Barefoot Training Specialist, and Certified Level 1 Training with Norman Allard. This list will continue to grow over the years as I have a passion for education.
My favorite activities include Tai Chi, hiking, biking, dancing, weight training, running, concentration meditation, frisbee, and volleyball. I love to garden and spend time with my friends and family.
